Hello Nicole. I descend through Gerhards line. This line doesn't seem to have had too much research done on it. I have been working on this line for over 20 years. I have alot of records relating to this line. I'll try to help as much as I can for anyone researching this line. I do have records for the other 2 lines as well. The Germantown Historical Society is a great resource for early Rittenhouse records. Let me know how I can help. Cousin Mark
Hi Nicole, I'll have to do a little digging to find that CD. I used to be able to find the entire thing on the Internet but now just part of it, the earlier part, is there.
Hi Nicole..I need to make a last name change for me and also add my kids and grandkids in my Genealogy. Could you please help me? Thank you so much.
Thanks Nicole~I'm grateful I found your site!
I do hope, too,I can find Barbara Rittenhouse's parents, where born and from~~my dream, as we've tried so many ways! Advice is needed! Lois
Thanks Nicole - I wish I knew my genealogy as far back as you do! Ha! I think I can only go back about three generations (all within southwest Wisconsin).
Nicole,
After the weather here clears up,I'd love to help out by contributing pictures of historical places/graves of members' ancestors...anything in the Phila/Germantown area. I still live pretty close, and would love to help out any way I can.
My line diverges from yours with the second Henry Rittenhouse; I come from the line of Samuel, Richard's Brother.
Samuel came out to Ohio very early on, and his family settled in Ross County, near Chillicothe. Samuel (b 1774) - Tilghman (b 1800, when it was still Ohio territory) - Cephas (b 1852) - Arthur (b 1878)- Curtis (b 1914)- James (b 1957) I moved to the Chicago area about 26 years ago for work; I'm a native of Dayton, Ohio.
You have a wonderful website. I'm glad that I popped in for a visit.
Thank You Nicole I will look forward to keeping in touch.
